Tiger “Satyriasis” Woods-Tiger Sex Addict with Satyriasis? (def)
Does Tiger Woods have Satyriasis?
Satyriasis is defined as an excessive, almost abnormal and uncontrollable desire for sex. It afflicts men.
Satyriasis is a pathology, a neurotic condition in men in which the symptoms are a compulsion to have sexual intercourse with as many women as possible and an inability to have lasting relationships with them.
The bible of psychiatry, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Medical Disorders (DSM-1V) does NOT list Satyriasis as a disorder. The International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-10) put out by the World Health Organization does, listing Satyriasis as a disorder under “hypersexuality.”
So let’s play the armchair psychologist for Tiger Woods, after all the media and the public for some reason can’t get enough of the Tiger Woods Scandal
Some would argue that the more common word “horny” is sufficient. And to make a “condition” out of a serial philanderer like Tiger Woods is simply absurd.
Others would say “sex addiction” is very real just ask David Duchovny or Dr. Drew who has a sex rehab shows on VH1.
Tiger Wood’s latest mistresses is alleged to be Julie Postle – if true then the Tiger Woods Women List sits at 17.
Satyriasis or not Woods has explained his behavior as “transgressions” – hoping a mea culpa would be sufficient to satisfy the salacious cravings of the public beast, alas for Tiger the public has the appetite of his namesake.
If Tiger does have the dubious condition known as Satyriasis then he is in good company. Apparently, English Philosopher Bertrand Russell, suffered from what was described as “galloping saytriasis.” – a galloping sex addiction – yikes.
