Why 2009 Won’t Be the year of Mobile Web or Mobile Video

I see quite a few thoughtful people predicting that 2009 will be the year when the mobile web, particularly mobile video will take off. The predictions are rash at best, particularly when it comes viable business models.
Of course the mobile web will only grow and is here to stay, and likely dominant – just not now – try 2020.
At least that is the consensus from 600 experts in the field survey by the PEW Rresearch Centre. Here is the excerpt

The mobile device will be the primary connection tool to the internet for most people in the world in 2020.
